About the role

Termi Home & Commercial CQ is seeking an experienced Waterproofer to join our team in Yeppoon, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in protecting residential and commercial properties from water damage and moisture ingress. As a Waterproofer, you will be responsible for applying waterproofing systems to various surfaces, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards. This position is based in Yeppoon QLD 4703 and offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across the local region.

What you'll be doing

- Apply waterproofing membranes, coatings and sealants to roofs, walls, basements, bathrooms and other structures

- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, priming and repair work to ensure optimal adhesion and performance

- Install waterproofing systems including liquid applied membranes, sheet membranes and specialised coatings

- Conduct quality inspections and testing to verify waterproofing integrity and address any defects

- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and keep work sites clean and organised

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients regarding project progress and any issues

- Troubleshoot waterproofing problems and recommend appropriate solutions

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications or extensive practical experience as a Waterproofer within the building trades industry

- Demonstrated expertise in applying various waterproofing systems and materials

- Strong knowledge of waterproofing techniques, building codes and industry standards

- Proficiency in surface preparation, coating application and membrane installation

- Experience working on residential,



commercial or industrial projects

- Current or eligible to obtain a valid driver's licence for travel to work sites

- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights safely

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to be able to work away from home as we service areas throughout Central Queensland

- Valid working rights in Australia

- Relevant certifications such as White Card (Construction Induction Card) are advantageous
