About the role

You will work predominantly across commercial and retail fitout projects, including restaurants, cafés and bars, beauty and nail salons, hair salons and barbershops, retail stores and showrooms, offices and commercial workplaces, and small refurbishments through to larger, complete fitouts. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of commercial interior projects from the initial client brief and concept design through to detailed documentation, construction and final delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Meeting with clients and understanding their operational and design requirements

- Developing concepts, finishes, colour schemes and material selections

- Preparing space plans and functional commercial layouts

- Producing high-quality 3D models, presentations and photorealistic renders

- Preparing detailed architectural and interior documentation

- Producing cabinetry, joinery, shop and construction drawings

- Coordinating consultants, suppliers, trades and internal construction teams

- Reviewing designs for buildability, compliance and budget

- Managing projects from concept through to completion

- Attending site meetings, completing inspections and resolving design issues during construction

About you

- A minimum of three years' continuous industry experience,



with five or more years preferred

- Demonstrated experience designing commercial, hospitality or retail interiors

- Solid proficiency in SketchUp

- Strong rendering and presentation capabilities

- Experience using ArchiCAD, Lumion or comparable design and rendering software

- Excellent technical documentation skills

- Experience preparing cabinetry, joinery and detailed shop drawings

- A strong understanding of construction methods, commercial materials, finishes, fixtures and products

- The ability to produce designs that are creative, practical, commercially viable and buildable

- Experience coordinating projects from the initial brief through to construction
