Preschool Room Leader | Early Childhood Teacher

Giggle and Learn Early Childcare & Education Lugarno is a family-owned, 40-place centre committed to providing a secure, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children thrive. As a proud Child Safe Organisation, we prioritise the wellbeing and protection of every child in our care. We are now seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to lead our small preschool room of up to 20 children.

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, confident, and experienced Preschool Room Leader to join our supportive team in a full time capacity. This role is ideal for an Early Childhood Teacher who enjoys leading high-quality educational programs, mentoring educators, and building strong relationships with children and families in a close-knit learning environment.

As the Preschool Room Leader, you will:

- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of engaging, play-based preschool programs that support children’s holistic development

- Implement the Early Years Learning Framework and lead an inclusive, stimulating, and school-readiness-focused learning environment

- Monitor children’s learning and development, using observations and documentation to inform meaningful individual and group learning experiences

- Build strong, collaborative relationships with children, families, educators, and the wider centre leadership team

· Provide guidance and day-to-day leadership to educators within the preschool room

- Maintain high standards of compliance, documentation, safety, and professional practice

What We’re Looking For

· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification as an Early Childhood Teacher

- Minimum two years’ experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, preferably in a long day care or preschool room environment

- Proven ability to lead engaging, play-based learning experiences and support school-readiness outcomes

- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and relevant regulations

· Able to confidently prioritise children’s safety and child safe values

· Current NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications (ACECQA-approved), Child Protection Training, Food Handling Certificate, and completed Geccko Training
