The Opportunity

Our client, a large, complex Australian enterprise, is seeking an experienced AI Workforce Enablement Lead / AI Academy Lead to build the foundations for practical AI learning, capability and adoption across the organisation.

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Package: $180,000–$240,000 Total Package (Inclusive of Super)

With the organisation still relatively early in its AI maturity journey, this is a hands-on AI enablement and learning role focused on helping employees understand how to use AI practically, confidently and responsibly in their day-to-day work.

The initial focus will be on approximately 300–500 Microsoft Copilot premium users, predominantly comprising executives and senior leaders. Your immediate priority will be helping these users understand what Copilot can do for them, how it can support their specific roles, and how to translate AI capability into practical productivity and business outcomes.

This is very much a “roll your sleeves up and do” opportunity, rather than a role that purely sets strategy or oversees delivery. We’re looking for someone who genuinely lives and breathes AI, actively experiments with the technology themselves, and is passionate about teaching others how to get real value from it.

You’ll personally design and deliver AI learning content, develop prompt libraries and playbooks, create short “how-to” videos and practical learning resources, build and experiment with Copilot agents, identify role-specific AI use cases, and educate users on effective prompting and responsible AI usage.

Over time, you’ll help establish a more structured, role-based AI learning and enablement approach and support its expansion across a large and highly diverse workforce spanning corporate, digital, executive, frontline operational and field-based employees.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Design and personally deliver practical AI and Microsoft Copilot learning and enablement for an initial cohort of 300–500 premium users.
- Identify and develop role-specific AI use cases that demonstrate tangible value and help employees apply AI to their everyday work.
- Create engaging learning content including prompt libraries, playbooks, quick-reference guides, use-case examples and short “how-to” videos.
- Build and experiment with Copilot agents, using your own hands-on experience to educate and inspire users.
- Develop practical guidance around prompting,

helping employees understand how to structure effective prompts and get better outcomes from GenAI tools.
- Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, coaching sessions and practical learning experiences for audiences with varying levels of AI confidence and capability.
- Help users understand the difference between simply having access to AI and using it effectively to improve productivity and ways of working.
- Work closely with People & Culture, Data & AI teams and business leaders to understand capability gaps and develop relevant, role-based enablement.
- Embed responsible AI practices, including appropriate use, privacy, security and governance, into learning and enablement activities.
- Build engagement and confidence with AI, encouraging safe experimentation and behavioural change rather than simply delivering training.
- Measure engagement, adoption and learning effectiveness and use insights and feedback to continuously improve the enablement approach.
- Over time, help scale successful learning and enablement approaches across the broader enterprise as AI maturity and business appetite grow.

What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience across Learning & Development, digital enablement, technology adoption or workforce capability, ideally within a large enterprise environment.
- Demonstrable experience personally designing and delivering learning content, rather than solely developing strategy or managing external providers.
- Robust hands-on Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI experience, with the ability to demonstrate how you personally use AI to improve the way you work.
- Practical experience developing prompts, prompt libraries, AI playbooks, use cases and other reusable learning resources.
- Experience building and using Copilot agents or similar AI agents would be highly regarded.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to make AI engaging, accessible and relevant to users with varying levels of technical and digital capability.
- Experience translating emerging technology into practical, role-specific use cases and learning experiences.
- A strong understanding of adult learning principles,

behavioural change and technology adoption.
- The ability to engage confidently with executives and senior leaders, while also being able to adapt learning approaches for broader employee populations.
- A practical understanding of responsible AI, privacy, security and governance and how these considerations should be embedded into employee education.
- Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technology — someone who actively experiments, learns and keeps pace with a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Highly Regarded
- Experience delivering AI, Microsoft Copilot, automation or digital workplace enablement within a large organisation.
- Experience supporting a large and diverse workforce spanning executives, corporate and digital teams, frontline operational and field-based employees.
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities, transport, telecommunications, engineering, construction, Defence or another complex/asset-intensive environment.
- Experience partnering closely with People & Culture / Learning & Development teams on technology capability and adoption initiatives.
- Experience developing role-based AI learning pathways, communities of practice, champion networks or scalable enablement programs.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to get involved at a formative stage of a major organisation’s AI journey and have a tangible impact on how employees actually use AI in their everyday work.

Rather than inheriting a mature AI Academy or simply overseeing an established training program, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the practical enablement approach from the ground up — creating the content, experimenting with the technology, identifying meaningful use cases and working directly with users to turn AI awareness into real-world application.

You’ll start with a defined group of senior Microsoft Copilot users, prove what works, and then have the opportunity to help scale AI learning and enablement across a large, complex and diverse enterprise workforce as adoption and appetite grow.

If you’re an AI-native learning and enablement professional who loves experimenting with AI just as much as you enjoy teaching others how to use it, we’d love to hear from you.

Interviews are being scheduled immediately, so please apply now for immediate consideration.
