Assistant Centre Manager – St Kilda, VIC

This is an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Centre Manager to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive Centre Director and play an important role in maintaining high standards across people, practice and operations.

The Role
Working closely with an experienced Centre Director, you will form an important part of the service's leadership team.
This role would suit an experienced early childhood leader who is organised, confident in their knowledge and comfortable taking ownership of key responsibilities across compliance, quality and daily operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Centre Director in leading and developing the team.
- Maintaining strong quality and compliance practices.
- Supporting WHS, risk management and child safety requirements.
- Coordinating staff documentation, qualifications and compliance requirements.
- Leading staff inductions and onboarding.
- Conducting centre tours and supporting family enrolments.
- Contributing to the QIP and continuous improvement.
- Supporting rostering and day-to-day operations.
- Building solid relationships with educators, children and families.
- Modelling high-quality practice and supporting educators in their professional development.

About You
You are an experienced early childhood professional ready to bring confidence, initiative and strong organisational skills to a leadership position.
You'll bring:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Previous leadership experience within an early learning service.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
- Confidence across compliance, documentation and Assessment & Rating.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to support quality practice.
- A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to coach, guide and hold others accountable.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Current Working with Children Check.
