Are you a Registered or Clinical Psychologist looking for a role that offers clinical variety, flexibility and strong professional support?
We are seeking a Psychologist to join a growing clinical team, with a primary focus on treating specific phobias, particularly fear of driving (vehophobia) through evidence-based CBT and Virtual Reality (VR) exposure therapy.
About the Role
You'll primarily work within a specialist phobia treatment clinic, delivering a structured 6-session CBT-based treatment program incorporating VR exposure.
There will also be opportunities to provide psychological assessment and treatment across CTP, Workers Insurance, Medicare, private and employer-funded services, depending on your skills and scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment
- Provide CBT and VR exposure therapy for specific phobias
- Support clients experiencing anxiety and fear of driving
- Monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
- Complete psychological assessments, reports and clinical documentation
- Communicate with clients, referrers and other stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical records and meet relevant funding requirements
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
- Current AHPRA registration
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A client-centred and qualified approach
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence
- Current SIRA registration or eligibility to obtain
Experience in CTP, Workers Insurance, anxiety, specific phobias or vehophobia will be highly regarded.
