About the role

Spring Grove Fresh Food Company, part of the McCaughey Group, is seeking two capable and reliable team members to join our Value Add production room in Casino. These are multi-skilled, hands-on positions covering meat preparation, slicing and trimming, marinating, thermoformer operation, product packing, labelling and carton preparation. Team members will be trained across the Value Add room and must be willing and able to work wherever required. These are not single-task packing positions.

Key responsibilities

- Slice, portion and trim meat products neatly and consistently using knives
- Prepare meat products to required size, weight and presentation specifications
- Develop and maintain safe, efficient knife-handling techniques
- Prepare and marinate products according to recipes, batch sheets and production instructions
- Weigh ingredients and follow product specifications accurately
- Operate thermoforming and vacuum-packaging equipment
- Load and unload products from packaging machinery
- Check seals, presentation, weights and product quality
- Apply and verify labels, date codes,



allergens and batch information
- Pack finished products into cartons, then strap, identify and palletise cartons

About you

- Previous knife-handling, meat-preparation or commercial food-preparation experience
- Able to slice and trim products accurately, or demonstrate the ability to develop these skills quickly
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to product presentation
- Willing to work across every position in the Value Add room
- A practical, team-focused attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
- Able to accurately follow recipes, written instructions and product specifications
- Able to work at a consistent production pace without compromising quality or safety
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Comfortable handling raw and cooked meat products
- Solid attention to labels, dates, allergens and product identification
