Kitchen & Cabinetry Designer – Peerless Kitchens

Gold Coast, QLD | Full-Time

Peerless Kitchens is looking for an experienced Kitchen & Cabinetry Designer to join our team.

We specialize in custom residential cabinetry and are looking for someone who can take ownership of the client design and approval stage of our projects – from initial concept through to final signed-off drawings ready for production.

The Role

You will be responsible for working directly with clients to develop their cabinetry designs, prepare detailed drawings and renders, manage revisions, and obtain final approval before projects are handed over for production.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Meeting and communicating with clients regarding their cabinetry requirements

- Designing kitchens, vanities, wardrobes, laundries and other custom cabinetry

- Producing detailed plans, elevations and 3D renders

- Managing client selections and design revisions

- Reviewing architectural plans, appliance specifications and site information

- Ensuring cabinetry designs are practical, buildable and accurately documented

- Coordinating colours, finishes, hardware and cabinetry details

- Preparing final drawings for client approval and sign-off

- Working closely with our production team to ensure a clean handover from design into manufacturing

- Managing multiple projects and keeping drawings progressing within required timeframes

About You

We are looking for someone who has real experience in kitchen or cabinetry design and understands how cabinetry is actually manufactured and installed.

Ideally, you will have:





- Previous experience designing kitchens and custom cabinetry

- Solid knowledge of cabinetry construction and hardware

- Experience reading architectural and construction drawings

- Good spatial awareness and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients

- The ability to manage revisions and keep projects moving

- Good computer and CAD/design software skills

- Experience with Sketch up, KD Max, Mozaik or similar cabinetry software would be highly regarded

- Knowledge of Blum hardware and Australian board/material suppliers would be advantageous

Cabinetmaking or joinery experience would also be highly regarded, particularly for someone who has moved from the factory or installation side into design.

This isn't just a drafting position.

We need someone who can look at a set of architectural plans, understand what the client is trying to achieve, develop a practical cabinetry solution and confidently take the client through the design and revision process until the job is ready for production.

You need to be organised, accurate and comfortable taking responsibility for your own projects.
