Coastal Demolitions: Leading Queensland demolition company
We are a family run business that operates from the Gold Coast. Ranging from the Sunshine Coast all the way to Byron Bay and anywhere in between for domestic, commercial and industrial projects.
We have the opportunity for an experienced semi driver to join the Coastal Demolition family where you will be well compensated with a competive industry wage, 50 - 60 hours each week & and a truck of your own to operate and care for.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Complete prestart activities, planning your day’s work, completing any necessary paperwork
Loading and unloading or demolition materials
Operation of wide-ranging company machines ranging from 18t to 40t
Keeping regular communication with base whilst completing runs
Keeping your machine well maintained, clean, and in full working order
Reporting any incidents or damage incurred to your machine
Basic communication with management, onsite teams and customers when working on site
Looking for opportunities to increase business and efficiency
Assistance with other yard duties when machine work is limited
Getting out of the machines to help with sorting picking and directing trcuks in and out of site
Occasionally covering other staff, including some weekend work
Experience & qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience with machine operation in Demolition
Multi ticketed machine operators with demolition experience in;
Shears, pulverisers & hammers
30 tonne excavators and over
Multi-storey high rises, industrial and factory demolition
Construction Card
Strong safety mindset
Willingness to work throughout SEQ as well as FIFO periodically
Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol TestReliable punctuality
Efficiency in the job with an emphasis on safety
