About the role - Residential Youth Worker (Flexi Team)
As a Residential Youth Worker, you will help create a safe, stable, and healing home environment for children and young people. You will support day-to-day routines, respond with therapeutic, trauma-informed care, and work alongside your team to build trust, strengthen life skills, and improve outcomes as young people rebuild their lives.
Join our Flexi Team on a 7 days on 7 days off roster and provide support across multiple residential care homes wherever you are needed most. This role offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a positive impact across different therapeutic care settings while remaining part of a consistent team structure.
Key responsibilities
Work across a range of residential care homes based on operational needs
Provide stability, therapeutic support, and positive outcomes for children and young people
Support day-to-day routines with therapeutic, trauma-informed care
Build trust, strengthen life skills, and improve outcomes as young people rebuild their lives
Work as part of a supportive team to create a safe, stable, and healing home environment
About you
Certificate IV (or higher) in Youth Work, Community Services, or related
Experience working with young people in a residential or similar setting
Understanding of Therapeutic Parenting & Trauma Informed Care
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
Confident providing trauma informed, therapeutic care
Adaptable, resilient, and calm under pressure
A strong communicator who can work independently or as part of a supportive team
Skilled in building trust, maintaining boundaries, and promoting the child's voice
National Police Clearance
First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check, WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence, and ability to meet the Department of Communities RCCA requirements
