Mechanical Fitter

Your new company

We are seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to assemble, maintain and refurbish heavy mechanical equipment and drilling rigs. Working in a modern workshop setting, you'll be responsible for mechanical fitting, fault-finding, reading technical drawings, equipment repairs and quality testing.

Your new role
Assemble and fit heavy mechanical equipment and drilling machinery
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
Perform mechanical fitting, alignment and component installation
Conduct repairs, fault-finding and preventative maintenance
Refurbish hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies
Complete quality inspections and testing of finished products
Maintain a safe and organised workshop setting

What you'll need to succeed
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Fitter
Experience working with heavy industrial, mining or manufacturing equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills




Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems highly regarded
Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
Ability to work effectively within a team workplace
