Have a commercial, demand or category background with robust Excel and forecasting skills? Translate brand-level forecasts into granular SKU insights.
We're recruiting for a Business Planner to join a newly created pilot role at the intersection of Commercial, Business Planning, and Demand Planning with one of the world's leading FMCG brands.
Right now, forecasting happens at a high, brand level. This pilot is about taking that number and translating it down to a far more granular view across a huge portfolio, and testing whether it still stacks up once you unpack it that far.
What you'll do
Lead the design, execution and evaluation of a forecasting pilot at SKU level across key retail customers
Deep-dive into SKU and account-level performance to establish historical trends, promotional impacts and baseline forecasts
Partner with Business Planning and Demand Planning to align commercial targets with operational and inventory realities
What you'll need:
A commercial background is ideal; solid forecasting or demand planning experience is essential
Excellent Excel skills and a genuine feel for forecasting - spotting trends, understanding what's driving a number, and translating that into something the business can act on
Solid communication skills - comfortable explaining forecast logic and insights to commercial stakeholders
Large scale FMCG or retail experience
