Hays Manufacturing & Operations are currently seeking experienced Trade Assistants for a major Power Station Outage Shutdown Project. With multiple positions available, this is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing maintenance team on a large-scale industrial shutdown.
Working alongside skilled tradespeople, you will assist with mechanical maintenance, shutdown activities, and general labouring duties within a heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting Mechanical Fitters and other trades during shutdown works
General maintenance and outage support activities
Use of hand and power tools
Equipment cleaning, preparation, and site housekeeping
Working safely within a high-risk industrial environment
Adhering to all site safety procedures and permit requirements
Essential Requirements
Current Confined Space Entry Ticket
Current Working at Heights Ticket
White Card
Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in industrial, mining, power generation, manufacturing, or shutdown environments
Robust safety focus and commitment to safe work practices
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
Reliable transport and ability to commit to shutdown roster requirements
Desirable
EWP Licence
Forklift Licence
Dogging, Rigging or Crane Tickets
Previous Power Station or Major Shutdown experience
