We are seeking an experienced female support worker to support a 10 year old participant with ASD Level 3 and significant anxiety. She attends school; however, attendance can be challenging due to her anxiety. A Positive Behaviour Support Plan and allied health strategies are in place.

Role responsibilities:
Providing personal care and toileting assistance
Supporting complex behaviours, including screaming and crying
Using calming and behaviour support strategies
Engaging in pretend play and other suitable activities
Assisting with general household activities
Following guidance from her allied health team

Requirements:
Experience supporting children with ASD Level 3 and high-care needs
Confidence managing complex behaviours
Willingness to consistently follow behaviour and communication strategies
A patient, calm, reliable and compassionate approach
Current Blue Card, First Aid and CPR
A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Pay: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour
