We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist/OHT during procedures, ensure a positive patient experience, and maintain the efficiency of the dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and care.
Clinical Support:
Set up and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
Take dental X-rays and ensure quality imaging.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Handle patient billing and insurance processing.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
Previous experience in a dental setting is an advantage.
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Robust organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
-Work involves travel in Dental vans throughout the state of Vic
This position may require standing for extended periods and some physical lifting.
The work setting is a dental office, with exposure to dental materials and equipment.
