About the role
We are seeking two experienced Open Cut Mine Planning Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of mine plans and production schedules that support the safe, efficient and commercially sustainable operation of the Burton mine.
Key responsibilities
Developing optimised mine plans across short-, medium- and long-term planning horizons
Translate LOM strategies into executable truck and shovel operational plans
Enhance mine planning processes to improve safety, profitability and cost control
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and forecasts
Undertake mine design and engineering studies to support operational requirements
About you
Hold a bachelor's degree in mining engineering or equivalent recognised qualification
Demonstrated experience in mine planning within an open cut mining environment
Strong understanding of open cut mining methods, mine design and production scheduling
Demonstrated experience developing short- and medium-term mine plans
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
High level of proficiency with mine planning and scheduling software
Robust understanding of mine safety and risk management principles
Ability to communicate technical information effectively to operational and non-technical stakeholders
