The Chance
My client, a global leader in isolation valve solutions, is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) – Valves to drive sales growth and expand market presence across Australia and New Zealand.
Based out of Melbourne - this is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you will work with channel partners, agents, and key industry stakeholders to increase market share, particularly for Backflow Prevention (BFP) Valves. You will identify current business opportunities, develop growth strategies, and provide technical support to ensure success through Southern SA, Tasmania, and Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales growth through customer engagement, technical presentations, and relationship-building
Develop and execute strategies to expand the market for Backflow Prevention (BFP) Valves
Provide technical support and training to sales teams, agents, and channel partners
Identify market opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to enhance product offerings
Lead product launches and ensure alignment with industry standards and customer needs
About You
5+ years’ sales and technical experience in plumbing/backflow valves
Trade plumbing backgrounds with experience selling into plumbing reseller networks highly regarded
Robust knowledge of AS/NZ Standards for the production and installation of Back Flow Valve products
Understanding of water industry standards, installations, and distribution networks
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies
Experience with SAP systems (preferred)
