Brighton Aquatics is seeking friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Swim Teachers to join our growing team. You will deliver engaging, age-appropriate swimming and water-safety lessons in a small-class environment. This position would suit an experienced swim teacher or a newly qualified teacher who is passionate about helping swimmers develop confidence, independence and lifelong water-safety skills.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver safe, enjoyable and structured swimming lessons.
Teach water confidence, water safety, learn-to-swim and stroke-development skills.
Adapt lessons to suit each swimmer's age, ability and individual needs.
Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to swimmers.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and carers.
Monitor swimmer safety and maintain active supervision at all times.
Assist with lesson preparation, equipment and keeping the pool area tidy.
Follow Brighton Aquatics' child-safety,
emergency and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
Participate in staff training and career development.
About you
Current recognised swimming-teacher qualification, such as AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia.
Current CPR qualification.
Current Working with Vulnerable People registration with child-related activity endorsement.
Knowledge of swimming and water-safety practices.
A friendly, patient and encouraging teaching style.
Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
Robust commitment to child safety and inclusion.
