Role Overview:

Top Fruit & Vegetables is seeking reliable and motivated Kitchen Hands to join our production team on a casual basis, specialising in fresh fruit juices, fruit salads, garden salads, sandwiches, and soups. The main duties of this role are cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and production environment, while also assisting with food preparation and daily operations as required.

The role involves hands-on food preparation, cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas and equipment, washing dishes and utensils, maintaining high hygiene standards, and supporting the team in a fast-paced production environment. Flexibility with working hours is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning and dishwashing duties as the primary responsibility of the role
Wash, clean, and sanitise kitchen utensils, dishes, juicers, equipment, benches, floors, and other work areas
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen and production environment at all times
Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain rubbish and recycling areas
Assist with preparing fresh juices using a variety of fruits and vegetables
Prepare, wash,



and cut fresh fruit and vegetables for fruit salads, garden salads, and soups
Assist in the preparation and assembly of sandwiches
Support the preparation and cooking of soups as required
Follow all food safety and workplace hygiene standards
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain cleanliness and meet daily production requirements

Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a kitchen, cleaning, dishwashing, or food production environment is advantageous
Robust attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Positive communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to follow cleaning, food safety, and workplace procedures
Physically able to perform cleaning, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties
Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop within the role

Remuneration:

This casual position is paid in accordance with the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award 2020.
