ABOUT THE ROLE

We are immediately seeking a fulltime permanent Mechanical Fitter to join our Service Team in Townsville, QLD.

Duties will include maintenance and repair of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
To perform repair work to cranes, Installations of cranes, hoists and materials handling equipment and from time to time other equipment in a qualified and tradesman like manner.
Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments

ABOUT YOU
Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification is essential
3- 5 years of experience in Cranes, lifting equipment's or Manufacturing industry




Sound Mechanical aptitude
High Risk Card EWP, OHS white card
Certificate of proficiency
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Effective troubleshooting and problem solving ability
Must be well organized and show effective time management skills
Must have a current manual Drivers License
Must be safety conscious and the ability to promote a secure workplace
Must be available to work overtime and travel to remote sites when required
Sound Mechanical aptitude

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Full Time Permanent
Field Work
Travel required from time to time.
Work vehicle provided for work travel purposes.
38 hours work week with potential overtime.
Work standard time is 7am - 3.06pm (potential overtime including weekend)
