Behaviour Support Practitioner Registered

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner to develop and implement evidence-based strategies that improve the lives of individuals with complex behavioural needs. This role involves conducting assessments, creating tailored support plans, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioural outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify the causes of challenging behaviours
Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans aligned with NDIS guidelines
Collaborate with individuals, families, carers, and allied health professionals to ensure effective plan delivery
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on behavioural strategies
Monitor progress through data collection and adjust plans as needed
Support crisis management and de-escalation when required
Maintain ethical standards and uphold the dignity of individuals in all interactions
Participate in supervision and career development activities

Skills and Qualifications
MUST BE REGISTERED BSP




Registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission (minimum CORE level)
Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or related fields
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or behavioural challenges
Strong understanding of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and PBS frameworks
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Attributes

Familiarity with NDIS processes and reporting requirements
Experience in aged care, youth services, or community health settings
