Aftermarket Sales Representative – Trucking & Trailer Industry

We're currently recruiting for a full‐time, permanent Aftermarket Sales Representative for our client, a global leader in the manufacture of braking, electronic and related subsystems for commercial vehicles.

n

Based in Southeast Melbourne but largely field‐based, this role focuses on building robust distributor relationships, gathering market insights, identifying growth prospects, and supporting customer engagement across Melbourne and broader Victoria.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
Lead daily aftermarket sales development by building rapport, actively selling and promoting the product range
n
Develop and maintain distributor support strategies aligned to the wider global plan
n
Plan regular customer visits across Melbourne and regional Victoria, gathering market intelligence and reporting on pricing, product needs and trends
n
Identify and qualify new aftermarket distributors for inclusion in the sales and service network
n
Deliver informal and formal product training to distributor teams and customer groups
n
Work closely with the Sales Manager and Aftermarket team to grow the distributor network and execute area sales plans
n

Qualifications & Skills

n

n




Diploma‐level technical qualification or equivalent industry experience
n
Ability to deliver informal training and product knowledge sessions
n
Solid communication, organisation, and presentation skills
n
Ability to gather and report meaningful market insights to improve product offerings
n
Experience building and managing dealer or customer relationships in trucking, trailers, OEMs, workshops or similar technical environments (e.g., mine sites, repair centres) would be extremely beneficial
