About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Services Manager / Registered Nurse for a permanent senior leadership position in Rockhampton, QLD. In this role you will hold overall responsibility for the leadership and management of perioperative services, including theatres, day surgery, recovery and CSSD. You will lead a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality surgical services while driving operational efficiency, clinical governance and continuous improvement. This is an outstanding chance for an experienced perioperative leader to take ownership of a busy surgical service within a thriving regional Queensland community.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of perioperative services including theatres, day surgery, recovery and CSSD
Supervise, mentor and develop nursing and support staff across the perioperative workplace
Ensure compliance with ACORN standards, accreditation and legislative requirements
Oversee clinical governance, incident management and quality improvement initiatives
Manage theatre utilisation, scheduling, budgets and resource allocation
Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team
Drive workforce planning, recruitment and staff retention
Foster a positive, safety-focused workplace culture

About You:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing leadership or theatre management
Strong knowledge of ACORN standards, accreditation and perioperative best practice
Proven operational, financial and workforce management capability
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to drive quality improvement and positive workplace culture
Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
