Connolly Environmental is an environmental consultancy based in Melbourne, and specialise in the assessment and remediation of contaminated land. We work with a broad range of clients, providing practical, technically sound and commercially focused environmental advice. We are looking for an Environmental Engineer / Scientist who will contribute as a vital team member to a diverse range of environmental consulting projects including preliminary and detailed site investigations, soil classification and remediation design and execution. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical capability while gaining valuable experience working closely with experienced environmental specialists and having genuine involvement in projects from start to finish.
Key responsibilities
Supporting senior consultants with project delivery and client outcomes in:
Soil, groundwater and soil vapour investigations
Environmental sampling and fieldwork
Data analysis and interpretation
Preparation of technical reports and environmental assessments
Environmental due diligence and compliance work
Contaminated land remediation design and execution
Liaising with clients, contractors, laboratories and regulators
Assisting with project management, preparation of proposals and technical documentation
About you
A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
1–3 years' relevant professional experience, preferably within contaminated land
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valuable analytical and problem-solving abilities
An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
Work on a wide variety of engaging environmental projects
