An exciting 12-month contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large national not-for-profit organisation with operations across multiple Australian states. Supporting a large and diverse workforce, this role will see you contribute to the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services while working within a collaborative, supportive and values-driven environment.

Your New Role

n

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will support day-to-day payroll operations and play an key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

Processing payroll transactions and maintaining employee records.
n
Managing commencements, terminations and employment variations.
n
Processing leave, allowances, deductions and superannuation transactions.
n
Conducting payroll validations and quality checks.
n
Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.
n
Responding to employee payroll enquiries.
n




Assisting with year-end payroll activities and compliance requirements.
n
Supporting payroll process improvement initiatives.
n

What You'll Need to Succeed

n

n
Experience working within an end-to-end payroll environment.
n
Knowledge of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
n
Strong payroll systems skills and confidence using Excel.
n
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
n
Solid customer service and communication skills.
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
n
Experience working within complex workforce environments will be highly regarded.
n
