We have been operating since November 2012. The Habitat is staffed and run by volunteers. Our volunteers help us to weed the nursery and garden, and help us connect a native habitat corridor from the nursery to the nearby bushland.

One of our aims is to educate the community in relation to the setting, conservation, native habitat corridors / networks, sustainable / healthy living, sustainable gardening and related activities.

You can find us at Santa Rosa Park, 251 Quarry Road, Ryde - next to the car park. Please wear a hat, sunscreen, long sleeve shirt and appropriate closed footwear. We provide gloves and all tools.

When you respond we will confirm via email the time slot that is available, we can be a little adaptable with this.

We are open 10 am to 4 pm Wednesdays and Saturdays. For student volunteers we offer 1 hour each Saturday or 2 hours every 2nd Saturday as required by the community services awards programs.

Training

No training required - just an interest in plants and the environment - we train and allocate jobs according to abilities.
