Shift: Monday to Friday, 10am to 6:06pm The Opportunity We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Storeperson to join a hardworking team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic prospect for someone who enjoys a combination of manual warehouse work and forklift operation, with approximately 50% manual handling and 50% forklift duties.
You will play an significant role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, packed safely and dispatched on time, every day.
About the Role
Working across the warehouse and outdoor yard, your responsibilities will include:
Picking and packing PVC pipes, fittings, cartons and pallets
Manually handling PVC products and materials
Manual handling 5-20kg
Operating a forklift to move and position stock
Loading rigid local delivery trucks safely and accurately
Ensuring loads are secure, legal and match dispatch paperwork
Checking products are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard before dispatch
Maintaining accurate stock levels and identifying stock discrepancies
Completing dispatch documentation accurately
Replenishing and restocking warehouse locations
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard
Following all workplace health and safety and quality assurance procedures
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in a warehouse, stores, distribution or similar environment
Comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work
Experienced operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard setting
Safety-focused with a strong understanding of safe product handling
Reliable, punctual and committed to getting the job done correctly
Able to work effectively as part of a small team
