Role Description The Structural Drafter at Paterdis will prepare detailed structural drawing and documentation working alongside Stephen Paterdis. Day-to-day tasks include producing detailed documentation using Revit and Autocad and continually improving Revit and Autocad systems.

The role is suited to a structural engineering student with a background in shop detailing or structural drafting. The role may also be suited to an experienced drafter wanting to work part time on a flexible basis.

Qualifications




Ability to produce high-quality structural drawings and technical drawings with attention to detail.
Experience working with architectural drawings and coordinating structural details with architectural design.
interest in AI implimentation and parametric workflows (Rhino and grasshopper inside Revit)
Foundational knowledge of structural engineering principles relevant to building design and detailing.
Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for structural documentation.
Competence in CAD and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms).
Strong spatial and technical understanding, with the ability to interpret and translate engineer mark-ups accurately.
Able and willing to work alongside sole engineer director.
Relevant qualification in drafting, engineering, or a related field (certificate, diploma, or degree), or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in an in office workplace.
Understand the limitations of small business systems.
