An exciting opportunity is available for a Welder/Fitter to join the FUWA K-Hitch team in its Derrimut,Victoria location.

FUWA K Hitch (Australia) a leading manufacturer in the heavy transport industry with three locations servicing Australia wide.

n

Working in a fast paced, highly productive workplace you will be responsible for welding & assembly of Turntables/Axles/Suspensions assemblies to supply into the transport industry.

n

Ideal candidates will have had experience in the heavy-duty transport equipment industry or similar, however this is not essential.The position requires a self-motivated team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

n

This is a casual position working in our Derrimut facility.

n

Clean spacious work area with all bench & jig work.

n

Scope of work

n

Welding as per specific instructions and drawings,
n
Welding as per qualified trades skill,
n




This role is a full time 40-hour per week with overtime available as required
n
Trade certification, 1st or 2nd class welding, or equivalent years of experience in quality welding
n
Maintaining a clean and secure working environment
n

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

n

Backgroundin Welding, Boiler making, vehicle body building or similar preferred
n
Attention to detail and a high standard of work
n
Experience in interpretingdrawings
n
Knowledgeable in weld standards and procedures
n
Finish welds to a very high standard.
n
Desire to learn, take direction and follow process
n
The ability to work well within a team environment
n
Positive attitude toward safety, quality, and housekeeping
