SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Cert II or above and 12 months of relevant work experience. If no relevant qualification, at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
n
The role of Waiter is to serve food and beverages, attend to guests' dining requirements and ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to guests.
n
POSITION DUTIES
n
n
Greet customers professionally and provide menus and beverage lists.
n
Take dine-in and takeaway orders accurately, including dietary requests.
n
Communicate orders clearly to kitchen and beverage staff.
n
Manage multiple orders and attend to customers during busy service periods.
n
Explain menu items and daily specials and recommend suitable food and beverages.
n
Process payments using point-of-sale systems and cash registers.
n
Explicit, clean and reset tables and return used items to the appropriate cleaning area.
n
Assist with reservations and customer seating when required.
n
Monitor stock and replenish dining and service areas as required.
n
Address customer concerns professionally and refer significant matters to management.
n
Comply with food safety, hygiene, liquor-licensing and responsible service requirements.
n
Work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
n
Perform other incidental and reasonable duties as requested by the employer.
