Rex is looking for energised and reliable individuals to fill the role of Aircraft Support Officer/Baggage Handler, in part-time capacity.

n

If you're excited about aviation, then you'll love getting up close and personal with our aircraft fleet.

n

You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring that REX aircraft depart and arrive on time to and from their designated destinations and work together to achieve a common goal. You'll need to be robust and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure in an environment that is always changing â weather, schedules and other parts of the operations that don't always go to plan.

Reporting: This position reports to the Ramp Manager â Sydney Airport.

n

Position responsibilities

n

n
Receipt and Dispatch of aircraft.
n
The secure operation of GSE, including toilet servicing, replenishing potable water, ground power unit operation, air conditioning carts and other relevant GSE for aircraft turnaround.
n
Aircraft loading and unloading, completion of relevant documentation and stowage of customer's baggage, inter-company freight and handling of cargo.
n
Sorting of checked baggage and reconciliation of baggage numbers per flight.
n
Marshalling of aircraft (when required).
n




Aircraft cleaning including termination cleans & incident cleans.
n
Assisting special needs customers.
n
Assist with Catering duties when required.
n
Other tasks as requested by the Airport Manager and Ramp Manager.

Selection Criteria

n

n
Previous airline experience is desirable
n
Valid State Driver's Licence.
n
Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and airside drivers licence.
n
Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work.
n
High standard of physical fitness.
n
High standard of professionalism.
n
Ability to work in a team workplace and a commitment to on time performance.
n
Ability to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
n

Conditions:
n Conditions and wages are as per the Airline Operations Ground Staff Award 2020.
