We are currently looking for an experienced TIG & MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication workshop in Melbourne’s south-east.
This is an excellent chance for a skilled welder/fabricator looking for full-time day-shift hours, competitive casual rates and the potential for ongoing work.
You’ll be working across a variety of custom fabrication and manufacturing projects involving mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
About the Role
TIG and MIG welding across aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
Fabricating and assembling custom components and structures
Reading and working from fabrication and workshop drawings
Measuring, cutting, fitting and preparing materials
Grinding, finishing and quality checking completed work
Using a range of workshop tools and equipment
General fabrication and workshop duties
Maintaining a clean,
organised and secure work environment
About You
We’re looking for an experienced tradesperson who can work confidently with minimal supervision and consistently produce high‑quality work.
You will ideally have:
5+ years' welding and fabrication experience
Solid TIG and MIG welding skills
Solid fabrication and fitting experience
Ability to read and interpret technical/fabrication drawings
Experience working with aluminium highly regarded
Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
Strong reliability and work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong commitment to safety
