Job Description:

n

Courier drivers are responsible for safely transporting road freight using the most cost-effective route while providing exceptional customer service.

n

Responsibilities:

n

n
Carry out delivery and pickup across metropolitan and regional areas.
n
Organise outbound freight by planning route schedules and inspecting packages and validating package labels.
n
Record and notify management of any faulty packaging or damaged items.
n
Utilise appropriate equipment to load and unload vehicles.
n
Safeguard freight to prevent movement during transit.
n
Adhere to punctual completion of runs.
n
Obtain recipient signature.
n
Deliver superior customer service during all interactions.
n
Ensure proper handling and security measures for all packages.
n
Address delivery challenges, such as damaged items or inaccessible delivery locations.
n

Skills And Experience:





n

n
Minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
n
Valid driver's license for a two-axle rigid vehicle.
n
Positive driving record.
n
Proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
n
Excellent customer service skills.
n
Physical stamina.
n

n

Key Physical Demands:

n

n
Individual lifting up to 20kg, with typical weights between 2kg and 10kg.
n
Constant standing and walking and may squat to lift items. Use of pallet jack and moving trolleys requires push/pull physical demand.
n
May be required to work in cold workplace of -4 degrees Celsius for short periods.
n
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
n
