Wedgetail Roof Racks, operated by Tradesman Pty Ltd, is seeking a reliable and motivated Welder to join our growing production team in Melbourne.

We manufacture premium steel roof racks and accessories for 4WDs and touring vehicles, supplying customers across Australia. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a quick-paced workshop and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will work within our production and fabrication team manufacturing steel roof racks and accessories in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

MIG welding of steel components
n
Production line fabrication and assembly work
n
Operating workshop equipment and tools
n
Grinding, finishing and quality checking products
n
Maintaining production targets and workflow
n
Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
n
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
n

Qualifications & Experience Welder – Wedgetail Roof Racks





n

n
Relevant trade qualification in welding/fabrication or equivalent relevant work experience
n
MIG welding experience preferred
n
Previous experience in steel fabrication, workshop production or a similar manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
n
Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
n

Annual salary of $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
