Retail Manager – McDonald’s Restaurant Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day operations of a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, food safety compliance, staff performance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities.
Supervise and schedule crew members and shift leaders across all dayparts.
Ensure compliance with McDonald’s operational standards (QSC: Quality, Service, and Cleanliness)
Manage food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance.
Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste control.
Handle cash management, deposits, and register reconciliation.
Recruit, train, and develop crew members and shift leaders.
Address customer complaints and resolve service issues promptly.
Track sales performance, labour costs, and other key financial metrics.
Enforce company policies and local labour law compliance.
Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
Coordinate with Corporate and franchisee leadership on promotions and initiatives.

Qualifications




High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
5 years of experience in fast food, retail, or restaurant management.
Robust leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software.
Australian Standard or equivalent food safety certification a plus.
