The Montefiore Foundation is looking for a casual Retail Assistant to join the team at our Hunters Hill Residential campus.
The Emporium plays a special role in our community; every purchase directly supports our Foundation’s work to subsidise care for over 30% of our concessional residents.
About the Role
This is a hands-on retail role working 18 hours per week alongside our dedicated volunteers and Boutique Supervisor.
The Retail Assistant is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming shopping experience for customers, keeping the store tidy and helping with stock and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner
Work collaboratively with volunteers and team members
Process transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly
Support stock intake, restocking, and inventory checks
Help maintain the store’s appearance, including displays and window setups
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience
Confident communication skills
Friendly and approachable with a robust sense of teamwork
