Centacare North Queensland is a not‐for‐profit organisation delivering counselling, family support, disability services, youth programs, crisis housing, education and community services across North Queensland.

We are seeking a Community Worker to join our Communities for Children (C4C) Program in Mount Isa — supporting local families through early intervention, community connection, and capacity building initiatives. This is a Part‐time role.

SCHADS Level 4 salary $92,286 (pro rata) + $2,500 above award allowance (pro rata) + $200 sign on bonus
n
Salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,650 meal entertainment

Building robust relationships with local services and stakeholders

Supporting community partners to deliver impactful programs
n
Coordinating events, activities,



and initiatives for children and families
n
Helping shape responses to local needs through community engagement
n

You'll play a key role in strengthening families and supporting children aged 0–12 to thrive.

Skills and Experiences

n

What you'll bring

n

n
Diploma (or higher) in Community Services, Human Services or similar
n
Experience working with families, children or community programs
n
Robust relationship‐building and communication skills
n
Ability to work with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
n
Confidence coordinating activities, events and community initiatives
n
