This established multinational organisation operates across a number of international jurisdictions and is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join the team on an initial 6 month contract.

Working within a well established finance function, this role will provide broad exposure across Australian and international tax matters, with an immediate focus on audit support, GST and tax effect accounting.

The Role

Reporting into the senior finance team, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting an Australian tax audit, with a focus on GST and tax effect accounting
Preparing and reviewing tax effect accounting across multiple entities
Supervising ongoing Australian GST returns and compliance
Completing GST reconciliations, including historical reconciliation work following a system implementation
Reviewing tax lodgements and work prepared by international finance teams
Supporting broader tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions

About You
Senior Accountant level experience with strong corporate tax knowledge
Strong GST and tax effect accounting experience
Previous experience within a corporate tax workplace or Big 4 tax
Comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Solid reconciliation and analytical skills
International tax exposure would be highly regarded
Confident reviewing work prepared by other finance teams and providing appropriate oversight

This role would suit an experienced tax qualified who enjoys a hands on environment and is comfortable working across both detailed tax accounting and broader compliance requirements.
