CACAO Australia is a leading artisan producer of premium chocolates and macarons, proudly crafting high-quality products for retail, wholesale, and seasonal gifting. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Manager to lead our macaron and chocolate production at our Cheltenham facility.
The Opportunity The Production Manager is a key role within the macaron production team and will be ensuring smooth coordination between teams, overseeing day-to-day operations on the factory floor, and implementing efficient planning and production systems.
Your leadership will help improve workflow, drive productivity, and create a consistent and communicative link across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production of macarons and chocolate products, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a cooperative and high-performance culture.
Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet demand across multiple channels.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards including HACCP and relevant regulatory requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
Drive continuous improvement in production processes, equipment use, and product innovation.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working in a food manufacturing or high-volume production environment
Strong organisational and planning skills
Confidence working directly on the factory floor
The ability to manage and lead across multiple teams and departments
Explicit, confident communication and leadership skills
A background in operations, production, or manufacturing (ideally within the food industry)
A proactive, hands-on approach to team management and process improvement
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety compliance.
