Head Chef – located within a beach side suburb in Melbourne at this upmarket eatery. Salary Range $90K – $100K + super.

The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic and the ability to perform in a rapid paced kitchen and be able to deliver a range of food from fine dining to bar meals and the ability to manage events. In return you will be provided with a work place where you will continue to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive management team.

Duties

Menu planning
n
Estimating food and labour costs
n
Liaising with suppliers and use of seasonal and local produce
n




Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
Ensuring hygiene regulations are met
n
The ability to train and nurture staff with leadership skills
n

n

Experience Required

Show creativity in cookery techniques and ability to train others and experience in similar cuisine
n
Work well under pressure
n
Team oriented
n
Positive, punctual and skilled approach
n
Familiar with food safety and OHS guidelines
n
Attention to detail
n
Competency with ordering and managing stock
