Our client, Harbour Car Care Pty Ltd, is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic to support its vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair operations.

Job Title:
Motor Mechanic

Responsibility:
Diagnosing, servicing and repairing motor vehicles and their mechanical components.

Duties:
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles;
Services and maintains engines, brakes, steering, suspension and transmission systems;
Inspects, repairs and replaces worn or defective vehicle components;
Performs scheduled servicing, oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups;
Uses computerised diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults;
Tests and adjusts vehicles after repairs to ensure proper performance;
Follows manufacturer specifications and relevant service manuals;
Maintains proper records of servicing and repair work;
Maintains a clean, organised and secure workshop.





Qualification:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Automotive/Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a related field;
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications;
Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification;
Registration or licensing may be required, where applicable;
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the automotive mechanical field.

Salary:
$75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation

Working Condition:
Full Time / 38 hours per week

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
