About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Senior Associate to join our Real Estate - Construction team on a full time, permanent basis.

You will work across a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Experience across both areas will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have at least four years’ post-admission experience in construction law gained at a well-regarded firm or in a sophisticated in-house environment. You will be commercially astute, detail-oriented and team-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external clients.

What does the role involve?
Drafting and negotiating construction documentation
Providing advice and managing construction disputes including adjudications
Managing litigation matters, primarily in the Supreme Court and in arbitrations across various Australian jurisdictions
Participating in business development and client relationship activities
Contributing to the firm’s learning and development program in your area of expertise
Contributing knowledge and learning resources, including precedents
Supporting matter management, including estimates, invoicing and fee collection
