They're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their close-knit finance team in a varied role that offers autonomy, stability and the opportunity to make a real impact. This role offers the chance to take on additional accounting functions in time, so you need to bring with you the experience or suitable qualifications!

The Opportunity
n
You'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll for approximately 360 employees while supporting the broader finance function.

Payroll
n
n
End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing
n
Interpret Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
n
Process superannuation, payroll tax, STP, PAYG and month/year-end activities
n
Maintain payroll records, resolve employee queries and ensure ongoing compliance
n
n
Accounts & Finance
n
n
Provide backup support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
Assist with job costing, project accounting and profitability reporting
n
Support BAS, GST,
reconciliations and month-end reporting
n
Assist with audits and provide finance support to the CFO
n
n
About You
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Proven end-to-end payroll experience
n
Strong knowledge of Awards, EBAs and Australian payroll legislation
n
Experience across transactional accounting (AP/AR)
n
Strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and a collaborative approach
n
