Regional Victoria | Food Manufacturing | Senior Site Leadership An established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at a large regional Victorian manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will have responsibility for plant reliability, maintenance performance, minimising operational downtime and developing a robust preventative maintenance culture.
The Role
Key responsibilities include
Lead the site maintenance and engineering function
Drive preventative maintenance and reliability improvement
Minimise production downtime through effective maintenance planning and execution
Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors, Planners and trades
Improve maintenance schedules and address recurring equipment issues
Manage maintenance expenditure, labour utilisation and key cost measures
Ensure statutory inspections, audits and compliance requirements are met
Identify opportunities to improve existing plant and future assets
Lead capital projects from scoping and supplier selection through to installation and commissioning
Partner with Operations and site leadership to support production and broader business objectives
About You To be successful, you will ideally bring:
Significant maintenance and engineering experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, processing or a similarly complex industrial setting
Experience leading a site maintenance or engineering function
Solid people leadership across trades and maintenance teams
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement
Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital expenditure
Experience delivering plant upgrades and capital projects
Strong understanding of safety, compliance and statutory maintenance requirements
A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, or a relevant technical/trade background combined with substantial maintenance leadership experience
