This is a permanent part-time position with key working hours in the evenings (5pm–10pm), limited daytime shifts (between 9am - 5pm) and weekends (between 9am - 7pm). You'll play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the kitchen school and event space, working closely with chefs and the kitchenhands. This position offers minimum hours of 24hrs each week, and you must be available to work Monday to Friday both day and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
Oversee daily service operations
Manage and support kitchenhands and bar staff
Order and receive stock for food, beverage, and service supplies
Food prep and catering support as needed
Stock control and regular stocktakes
Kitchenhand duties for small events
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and BCC requirements
Liaise with chefs and report directly to the cooking school manager
About you
Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality or food service
Current certificates in RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
Desirable or able to obtain RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venue) and First Aid Certificate
High English language skills
Solid leadership and communication skills
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Comfortable managing service, food prep, and bar operations and dishes
