Quantum Diesel Engineering Services is a rapidly growing family-owned business specialising in engine and general machining for the Mining, Transport, Marine, and Power Generation industries. We are seeking a motivated Engine Machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Measuring, quoting and machining engine components – blocks, crankshafts, conrods etc
Fitting of sleeves and bushes
General machining, - manual milling and turning
Crack testing, polishing and grinding crankshafts
Cylinder head machining
Cylinder block machining
Conrod machining
Completing job cards and reports as required
Requirements
Qualification in Fitting and Turning or as an Engine Reconditioner
Previous experience in a similar environment working with Cummins and Caterpillar products is considered advantageous
High attention to detail
Reliable, punctual,
and able to work independently
Robust communication and teamwork skills
Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
Forklift licence (advantageous)
Permanent work rights with no restrictions
