This is a permanent role for experienced Mental Health Nurses based in VIC. The facility is located approximately 10km from Melbourne's CBD and is known for its maritime history and heritage buildings.

The Position

Responsibilities include:

n

Provide appropriate mental health support, care, treatment, and interventions to patients.
n
Observe and assess the mental, emotional, and physical needs of patients, including identifying at-risk patients, and record findings with accurate documentation.
n
Care plan and discharge planning implementation.
n
Display nursing skills effective in alleviating patient distress, which may manifest in challenging or at-risk behavior.
n

Eligibility & Requirements

n
Current registration with AHPRA.
n
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014.
n
Police and criminal history check.
n
Working with Children check if requested.
n
Immunisation health clearance prior to employment.
n
Sponsorship applications accepted for international applicants.
