Job Description

We are currently partnering with a next-generation data center business to appoint several Network Engineers to join their growing Sydney operations team. This organisation builds, owns and operates high-performance compute infrastructure powered by 100% renewable energy, with multiple sites internationally.

The Roles:

n

These positions will play a key role in supporting and optimising cloud and data center network environments, including:

n

n
Provide Tier 2 escalation support for complex cloud network incidents, ensuring timely resolution within SLA targets.
n
Monitor cloud network performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing service degradations.
n
Perform advanced troubleshooting across switching, routing, firewall, and interconnect settings to restore services quickly.
n
Lead technical investigation and contribute to root cause analysis for major or recurring incidents.
n
Support hybrid cloud connectivity, backbone services, and customer interconnections to maintain reliable service delivery.
n
Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers, vendors, carriers,



and internal teams to resolve escalated infrastructure issues.
n
Participate in on-call rotations and major incident response activities.
n

Desired Qualifications:

n

n
2- 5 years of directly related experience, ideally in data centres or similar operational environment.
n
Experience or certifications with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, and FortiSwitch, are highly desirable. Candidates with transferable skills from Cisco's Nexus and Firepower product line are encouraged to apply.
n
Computer troubleshooting capabilities (CompTIA A+ or equivalent).
n
Operations in a data centre workplace and understanding of the associated components (fiber optic, network switches, PDU's, etc) is an asset.
n
Solid written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, service providers and various personnel.
n
Demonstrated trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
n
