O.A Painting & Decorating is looking for a reliable and motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd-Year Apprentice Painter to join our team full time.
We are an Illawarra-based painting business completing high-quality current builds, residential repaints, renovations and commercial projects throughout the region.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to properly learn the trade, develop their skills and build a long-term career in painting and decorating.
THE ROLE
You’ll be involved in all stages of painting and decorating, including:
Preparing and protecting work areas
Sanding, patching, filling and caulking
Brush and roller application
Learning spray-painting techniques
Painting walls, ceilings, doors, trims and exterior surfaces
Working across new builds, repaints, renovations and commercial projects
Keeping worksites, tools and equipment clean and organised
As your skills develop, you’ll be given more responsibility and the chance to complete a wider range of work.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
Is reliable, punctual and ready to work
Takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail
Is willing to learn, follow instructions and improve
Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
Is physically fit and comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding
Holds a valid driver’s licence and has reliable transport
Holds a current Construction White Card
Previous painting or construction experience is beneficial but not essential for a 1st-year applicant. Existing apprentices must be able to provide details of their current apprenticeship and completed training.
