People & Culture Advisor - Constructions

I’m currently partnering with a well-established, family-owned construction and property development business to appoint a People & Culture Advisor to join their growing team.

This is a hands-on, broad HR generalist role working closely with the Directors and Managers across the business. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of day-to-day people matters while helping build and improve the HR structure, systems and processes as the business continues to grow.

The Role
Act as the key point of contact for employees and managers across day-to-day HR matters
Provide practical advice and coaching around performance, employee relations and workplace issues
Manage recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance and offboarding processes
Own employment contracts, HR documentation, policies and award interpretation
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Modern Awards and workplace requirements
Support workplace investigations and workers compensation matters
Manage the HRIS and maintain accurate employee records
Support WHS compliance and HR-related record keeping
Contribute to employee engagement, EVP, career pathways and future talent initiatives

Requirements




4+ years’ experience in a generalist HR / People & Culture role
Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline preferred
Robust understanding of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards
Practical experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations
Confident coaching and influencing managers at all levels
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working autonomously in a hands-on family business workplace
Construction, property, trades or similar industry experience highly regarded

What's on Offer
$100K – $120K + Super, depending on experience.
